WHAT IS A SOCIAL? Socials are themed events for kids or parents with spots available to bidders/guests for purchase.  Social fundraisers can be planned for kids or adults: you pick! Plan a social open to your class, your student’s grade level, or based on a common interest.

WHY HOST A SOCIAL? Socials are key to the success of our fundraising efforts as the revenue generated by these events helps support the operational and academic needs of our school.  Hosting a social promotes school spirit, gives students/parents an opportunity to grow friendships outside the classroom, and is a great way to raise money for Horn.

HOW DO I HOST A SOCIAL? Sign up to host a social below! Use the submission form to let us know the specifics: student or parent event, date/time, theme, number of open spots, and price per participant.  Submit your event no later than January 12, 2018.  Socials will be available for bidding during the silent auction at the Horn Masquerade Gala on February 10, 2018.

Social ideas for the kids:  Back-to-School Bash (swim/ice cream social), holiday parties (Valentine’s Day, Egg Decorating), Sports/Field Day, Art Party, Bounce House/Trampoline Park, Mad Science/Inventors Party, Movie on the Lawn, Mini-Spa Party, Back Yard Camp Out, Scavenger Hunt, and Movie-themed parties are exciting for kids and fun to host.

Social ideas for adults:  Mom’s/Dad’s Happy Hour, Cooking Class & Cocktails, Ladies’ Brunch, Golf, Skeet Shooting, Crawfish Boil, Movie-themed party…use your imagination – if you would have fun doing it, others will too!
